History of Johnson Construction Specialties, Inc.

1947 - Opened Houston Branch Office of Macatee, Inc. and marketed roof deck contracting.

1956 - Incorporated Johnson Construction Specialties and purchased Macatee, Inc. Began marketing specialty interior subcontracting in Houston area. dealer for USG Acoustical products. Shop fabrication of laboratory tops and balance tables.

1958 - Became a dealer for Armstrong and Owens-Corning.

1966 - Became dealer for Johns-Manville.

1968 - Sold roof deck division.

1970 - Relocated to present location for increased shop fabrication capacity. Purchased lamination equipment and started marketing lamination panel system.

1973 - Formed Marine Division and began marketing joiner system materials and installation.

1990 - Began production and installation of JCS designed joiner system trim.

1995 - Present management team in place.

1996 - Began marketing Food Service/Galley and Laundry Equipment sales and installations.

Other various dealer and product lines have included BNZ, Donn Products, Dupont Corian, Marlite, Modern Fold Door, O'Brien partitions, and Selby-Battersby.
